They are ultra light because they are made from a special tight stitched nylon cover with no heavy bladders. They inflate in a couple of minutes with a high volume/low pressure inflator and stay inflated for about 15 minutes before needing another shot of air. You can even use the exhaust from a vacuum cleaner to pump them up. When you are finished, simply unzip the zipper and they deflate in seconds. Zipper closure system maintains air.
